Another artist who has a lot of works in the Kunstmuseum in Bern is Adolf Wolfli. His story is very misunderstood by many; he was criminally insane and jailed for raping young girls more than once. Later on in his life they insitutionalized him, during which time he was given pencils and newsprint to "keep him quiet." That's when he produced all of these large symmetric pencil drawings--I rather like them.
This is the best example I could find online.
